The Ericonian Tradition started off as partly a Hereditary tradition that evolved into a tradition named after its founder. The Tradition focusses heavily upon the belief that every Nation, that believes in a creator god, is worshiping the same god, and that each nation has given him a different name. We also believe, that there is a Goddess, a female god of equal power, his mate, for if a man and woman are needed to create life, so is true with existence, a female and male god's union created all things. We accept the big bang theory, as proof of their union. We believe that the Goddess, in many aspects, was purposely forgotten as an exploitation of a Dogmatic law, what is held true on earth, will be held true in eternity. It is believed that ancient human populations that wished to make women more subservient, began to exploit this old supposed law, delete her, and only worship him, erase her, you erase what both she and he represent equality...

Asherah, also called Elat is an ancient Canaanite, Ancient Semitic, as well as Babalyonian goddess, was said to have been equal to the god of creation, El also referred to the jews as being their god. She was his equal and is often referenced in ancient lore, as the Queen of Heaven. She is also known for Magick and Nature. We believe that any reference to a creation goddess is speaking of Asherah or Elat, and that she is equal in every way to her mate, as he is to her, and that all are equal in their eyes.

The Ericonian Tradition, Embraces the All theory, that one goddess, and one god, created all of the others, and that they are to be praised first before you praise the others. In the Ericonian Tradition, Magick is seen as neutral, and that the only evil in it, is how it is used, and, what dwells in the heart of the one using it.

Our Tradition embraces Nature as proof of Divine existence, and that nature was provided to us as a gift to sustain us, therefore it must be protected. In the tradition, all people, all races, all genders, including LGBT people, are part of nature, and part of the divine plan, therefore all are equal in Elat, and EL's eyes.

LGBT and infertility in our faith are viewed as Elat and El's plan for preventing a sentient race from overpopulating what nature can sustain and that those who do not produce children are urged( not required) to consider taking in children, abandoned by others for various reasons. Transgender is seen as reincarnation, in which a soul was one gender in one life, and maybe having difficulty transitioning in the new incarnation.

Our tradition embraces Reincarnation, as both a choice, chosen individuals sent back to lead, as well as those who still need to learn life's lessons.

Our tradition embraces the existence of Summerland and accepts the terminology of Heaven as well. We view it as a plane of existence that was created at the heart of where creation happened when the divine union took place. It is a place where only light exists, hence being called Summerland, as darkness never sets here. It is filled with loving warmth, and all knowledge, all peace, and all of us will return there, regardless of faith, or lack thereof. When circles are cast, and the sacred space is performed, we believe we can feel this plane and connect with it, and hear our goddess and god, as well as the rulers of the elemental planes that are essential for creating the sacred circle. We call to the five elements in each time we cast a circle, as each is required in our faith, to maintain balance and to thin the veil so that we can worship in sacred cast circles.  In Summerland, we believe that certain souls become powerful angels. Divine transcendence as being a reward for being a force of good while we were in the flesh. We believe that all life is heard by the goddess and god. Humans, dolphins, whales, elephants, dogs, apes, monkeys, cats, etc, any animal with emotion and capable of love, is capable of thought based prayer and transcends to this plane along with us. We believe that El and Elat, however, they came to be, be them travelers from another universe, plane of existence, however it was made possible for them to exist, that when they came into the universe we physically live in now, it was a void, and that when they saw one another, it was the first true example of love at first sight. Their union, was so powerful, that it is believed to have been an explosion of divine energies that rippled throughout our universe, creating worlds, the elements, their first children, and from the loneliness they felt, that was purged upon their union, bore the shadows.

We also believe that giving praise to the Elat (which is an ancient word for Goddess) and El ( an ancient word for god ), feeds them. Our love, our worship, our dedication, and offerings of energies raised to them, is part of what we call, the Law of the Conservation of energy. We give back to them, and in exchange, blessings and magick are our divine rights. We believe that for magick to work, you must give back selflessly, not out of obligation, but out of the pure will to do so, otherwise, the magicks we are endowed with are less potent.

We believe that there are indeed other gods and goddesses and that each of them, are the children of El and Elat. We believe that the ten commandments that Christians follow, was corrupted by man and that the translation of having no other gods before me, was either mistranslated or corrupted on purpose for the reason of the law of the conservation of energy and an attempt to exploit a dogmatic law of what is held true on earth... We believe that it originally said, there shall be no worship of other gods,  until the two that came before all, are honored first. They sit at the ends of the table, and honoring the mother and father, in the ten commandments, is again a mistranslation and originally said, honoring the mother and father of heaven or creation...

In our tradition, we embrace the existence of angels, and that El and Elat are much like us in that, if they are busy creating other worlds, tending Summerland, or producing other gods when perhaps in other planes during Yule, then we are to ask angels for help. 

​

We believe that either El, Elat, or their numerous children, have had children with mortal men and women in ages past. And that these demigods, had children, then grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and so on and so forth that further diluted divine power and that these were those whose bloodlines contained the magicks mentioned in biblical texts ranging from Abrahamic religions, Indian religions, and so on, which explains why some people are more gifted than others. This does not make a natural witch a god or goddess given the eons of dilution but is simply more connected to the goddess and god through ancient bloodlines. We believe that this can happen at any time when our goddesses and gods return, and the reason why Christians believe in what they believe, another take from us...

Our tradition does not accept the existence of the Christian devil, but we do accept the existence of shadows, aka demons. We believe that there is not one single shadow over all things, but many competing with each other, over the law of the conservation of energy and that they feed on misery, suffering, depression, and all negative emotions as a way of growing stronger.

​

Our faith believes that there is NO eternal damnation, but we do believe in the valley of shadows, which again is something Christianity stole from us. The saying, As I walk through the Valley of the Shadows of Death, I shall fear no evil... We believe that this explains a type of limbo, that the Catholics stole from the original worshipers of our hereditary passings. We believe that there is a place called the valley of shadows, where the shadows do indeed dwell, and that when a soul, has committed certain acts, they go there, not to be judged, but to learn. We believe that the shadows, force these souls to relive the misery they inflicted on others, feeding on that soul's misery as they see the wrongs they did until they are truly sorry for the pain they inflicted. When they no longer, fear the shadows, because their evil ways have been relieved to the point that they have truly realized what they have done, and want to amend for what they did, these souls are pulled into either Summerland or given the chance to go back and try again through reincarnation.

The Ericonian Tradition believes that there are other worlds, other planets filled with life, and that science is proof of the goddess and god, for they gave us nature as proof. Air to breathe, governed by a powerful Angelic being who rules over the east. Fire to warm worlds, governed by an angelic being who rules the south. Water to provide life, on other worlds as well as our own, again ruled by a powerful angelic ruler. Earth, to give form, for the four physical elements to join, and that a powerful angelic ruler governs this element. We believe that spirit, an angelic ruler, who governs the space between worlds, connects with the other four, and that when these five rulers are in harmony, it is these worlds, like earth, that life can exist upon. These rulers have many names, we tend to use angelic names of certain arch angles known for it, but we also believe there is something much older than them, simply referred to as the rulers, rulers of the corners, rulers of the elements, Air, fire, water, earth and spirit, and that when they are called upon, either the first rulers themselves, or those who rule under them within their elemental domains, help us erect our sacred circles.

We believe and honor the eight holy days that most pagan branches follow. We honor Yule, being a time in which Elat and El give birth to other gods and goddesses, that rule other worlds as they are continually creating the universe. We believe in Imbolc, marking that spring is coming, and to prepare the lands for when Ostra arrives for planting. We believe that Beltane, is a time for remembering El, and the divine union and that Beltane reminds us of the union of creation and celebration of the coming summer. Litha is observed, to remind us to tend our fields, and give to nature what is needed for what we plan on taking from it later, a cycle of giving and take along with other pagan meanings. Mabon, being a time to harvest, and give thanks and be grateful, to harvest from nature, ONLY what we need, and to give thanks for it. Samhain, being the end of the wiccan year, as well as in the Ericonian Tradition, that it is a time to honor ancestors, family, what we have. That it is a time that the veil is thin, and that lessons from our ancestors can be heard. While each of these holidays have so many more significant pagan meanings, these are some slight additions that our specific tradition views in addition to the others and that each holiday better helps us attune to nature so that we can feel nature's power, rhythm and when she is weak, when to act and tend her.

We do believe that wiccan prophets will indeed be born and that they have been sent back by Elat and El for reasons of guiding people back to them, back to nature, back to the old ways, and receive guidance from Elat and El, angels, and other guides, will be granted visions and certain bits of knowledge to better prepare the future.

​

Our clergy, we do have a hierarchy. Currently, we do have a Witchking that leads all of the branches, he is no better than the beginner, or greater than anyone else. It is a title bestowed for his works, deeds, and in our tradition, when a high priestess or a high priest has a coven, that hives off at least three times, then the founding High clergy will be named a witch queen or king. Our Witchkings or Queens sits at the top, elders are next, followed by High Priestess and High Priest, Priest and priestess, those training to be a clergy, and those of the first degree, the initiate. While we do have a hierarchy, know this, we view all as equals, and titles are earned through proven devotion, earned respect, but at the end of the day, all are equal, from the King or Queens of our covens to the person who picked up a book today and started learning. We believe that when you stop learning, you have lost your way...

We believe that our clergy, are to be held to a higher calling, and should be called to serve, not rule. That like the ancient pagans of old, they are to preach the faith, not in such a way that we tell others what to think, but as reminders of moral codes, for this is something taken from us, to keep us from expanding our followers, and due to the crusades, made us afraid to do it again, keeping it to families at that time, now, our clergy are to return to preaching, guiding, performing rites and rituals, and we are each to be a light in this world, and that each priestess or priest, should strive, to make sure that the clergy that replaces them, burn brighter then they did, for we are the flames that must attract the moth, wondering in darkness, hoping to find warmth and light in this world.

Magick in our tradition is a divine right and is given in exchange for devotion and selfless praise to El and Elat. We believe that it is natural, pure psychic energies that everyone has, and that some are more natural at it than others, but all can achieve the same level. We believe that these psychic energies are used to tap into other energies, such as certain herbs, stones, and the five elements themselves to pull in additional energy to manifest the witch's will upon the bendable world. In our tradition, the witch, is a gender-neutral word, being both male and female. We believe that these energies are part of our soul, and vibrates within us. We believe that what we take into ourselves, is to treat our body as temples, eating right, exercising, taking care of the physical temple our goddess and god have given us for our soul to reside in until we transcend. That taking care of our bodies, increases our psychic power, as well as our connection to El and Elat, their children, and the angelic rulers and guides.

Our tradition honors the wiccaning as both a form of spiritual baptism, that can be performed at birth or when a person chooses to come to Wicca. We believe in puberty rights, eldering rights, marriage rites, passing rites and to use magick to protect this world, ourselves, heal others and ourselves, including this world, and that means exorcism based rites to banish darkness from our midsts, for if evil is allowed to dwell, it harms us all.
