Offerings

Hello, For those that don’t know me. My name is Eric. I founded the sacred circle, both the physical coven, and it's cyber branches. Later other physical covens arose from the same, branching off. Because of this, I was later, nominated and Elected Witch King since covens had hived off from what I had started. This does not make me some super witch, or some man on an ego trip, but a simple high priest who was lucky enough to be acknowledged for my works and my calling.

From time to time I try my best to encourage each and every priestess and priest to help post sermons. All faiths deserve to be uplifted. It is something that was taken from us by rival faiths, and far too often forgotten by our own pagan clergy.

Tonight’s sermon is both a lesson and a sermon. It has to do with offerings. The gods and goddesses have been weakened by other faiths for one reason, prayer, and offerings. It's partly why Christianity insisted in their 10 commandments, having no other gods before me ( in other words they acknowledged that there were indeed other gods, but the Christian aspect got a little…. Greedy or glutinous you could say.)

Prayer is essential to feeding a god an angel and any other being made of light. ( darkness, of course, feeds those that are darker). They thrive on it. When I say a prayer, I'm not talking about, what you're asking for, but what you are giving thanks for. Sending your very love to that god or goddess you are following. Sometimes offerings help them too. Using certain herbs in your offering bowls that are known for magical properties such as ginger root or ginger in general as it's known for… increasing power… Certain flowers, ect.

Other offerings are simply creating an energy ball, filled with your own energy, and sent to that god, goddess or another celestial being you wish to nourish. This feeds them as well.

It is by prayer, dedication, offerings, and the like, that are done out of devotion, and desire, and must always be done as a selfless act, not a selfish one. This gains the attention of the divine beings we worship and empower, and in exchange, they too empower the faithful and loyal, all part of the law of the conservation of energy… Rewarding those who are true to the faith.

If you can’t afford anything, send an energy ball, filled with your own energy to them. Pray to them, thanking them for what they have done. Or simply thanking them for you existing. Prayer is essential in connecting us to the gods of old. If we do not, they become forgotten, and sadly, they will weaken over time if followers do not give them the love, respect, and offerings of prayer, ect they deserve for our very existence, our very blessings they bestow, and our magicks that is part of our rewards.

Prayer must be selfless, given freely, and never done because you think you have to do it, but truly deep in your heart, want to do it. This builds a connection with the old ones, nourishes them, and in return… we gain their favor.

The same thing is true of magick, if you do not believe in it, doubt it, and a god or goddess was invoked to help in that magick… then why should they reward you? They may, or they may not, but those that truly believe, and pray to them… will be, because of the law of the conservation of energy, they reserve their energies for the faithful, the loyal, and those who believe… Consider it the fair trade, the balance, getting something, in return for your own personal dedication that is coming from your heart...

In closing in this posted sermon, I wish to end with a challenge….

Pick a goddess or god, and please… post below in the comments which goddess or god you are praying too, or even which angels you are praying too. Do this every night, for one week, to build your connections, do it selflessly, do it because deep down you feel that it is something you really want to do. Then, one week later, post in the group, how things have started to change in your life…
